Tengboche Trek (Namche and Tengboche
Trek) |

This trek heads from Lukla to the Sherpa
town up north. We spend time in mountain
village of Namche Bazaar which was a
famous trading center between Tibet and
Nepal. From Namche we head up to the
holy village of Tengboche. This has long
been the religious centre for all
inhabitants of the Solu Khumbu area.
There are numerous shrines and a
beautiful monastery that sits at 3870
meters. You will take your time heading
back to Lukla and there are many options
for extra side trips. This trek takes 8
days up with some up and down hiking.

Day 01 |
Depart Kathmandu via air, for Lukla
(8800ft) and a short trek (2-3 hours to)
to Phakding at 8,661 feet. The flight
into Lukla is similar to the Everest
View flight for views and beauty. |

Day 02 |
The trail climbs gradually following the
river and enters the Everest National
Park at Jorsale, then crosses the river
and climbs tteeply to Namche (11,100
feet). (4-6 hours). |

Day 03 |
Namche/ Rest day or day hide possible.
Namche is capital of the Khumbu district
and offers many ways to spend a day. |

Day 04 |
Tengboche. We Climb the
ridge above Namche and
descend to the Dudh
Koshi Riover before
climbing again to
Tengboche Monastery
(12664 feet). (4-6
hours). Devoche is
slightly further
(20minutes) a charming
village. |

Day 05 |
Time to visit Tengbuche
before our return trek
to ward Lukla. Stay
Namche or further on.

Day 06 |
Return to Luka.
|
|
Day 07 |
Fly to Kathmandu by noon.

10-Day EVEREST
PANORAMA Lodge Trek
This
10-day trek offers excellent views of
Mt. Everest and the main peaks of the
Khumbu without going to extreme
altitudes. Starting with a flight to
Lukla airstripwe trek in to Namche
Bazaar, the principle town of the area
and the Sherpa 'capital.' After a day of
acclimatization we explore the
traditional Sherpa villages of Kunde and
Khumjung set amongst incredible mountain
scenery. We then trek to Thyangboche -
the site of Nepal's most sacred buddhist
monastery. The views from this ridge
above the Dudh Kosi river is possibly
the most beautiful with Mt. Everest
looming over the Lhotse Ridge and Ama
Dablam towering above the monastery. We
continue to Pangboche, the treks highest
point, and then by way of, seldom
visited, Phortse we swing back to Namche
and Lukla to end the trek with a flight
back to Kathmandu. This trek offers more
of everything packed into 10 eventful
days - more mountain views, more
culture, more nature, more hospitality,
more surprises, more, more.
Moderate to difficult trekking and
lodging from 2,805m (9,200ft) to 3,985m
(13,070ft) with possible optional hikes
up to 4,500+m (15,00ft). Accommodation
in comfortable lodges run by Sherpa
families. The trek starts with a flight
from Kathmandu and includes all meals,
services of experienced Sherpa trek
guide and porters to carry luggage.
Clients carry a light day-pack only and
walk at their own pace.
